The middle mile involves transportation of goods from one hub to another, a warehouse to the distribution centers or retail outlets, and other facilities.

Origin Hub

  1. When the consignments are brought to the origin hub, after the completion of the first mile processes, they get processed for the middle mile processes.
  2. We first do the in scanning of the consignments, verify the consignments and then create a bag for these consignments.
  3. Meanwhile, we do the gate in of the vehicle for the middle mile trip and assign a dock to it.
  4. We create a trip, assign a vehicle, and complete the loading of the consignments.
  5. Later, the trip departs, and the vehicle is docked out scanned, and gated out from the origin hub.

Destination Hub

  1. When this vehicle reaches the destination hub, it is gated in and assigned a dock.
  2. The dock in scanning happens, and the trip is marked as received.
  3. The unloading of the consignments happens, the waybills are scanned, and an exception is applied if required.
  4. After the successful unloading of the vehicle, the trip is marked as close.
  5. The bags are debagged and the consignments are taken for the last mile processes.
