**Location Master**  
  
**Activity Introduction** **:**   
In a Warehouse Management System (WMS ), a "location master" is a list that shows exactly where everything in a warehouse is stored.   
It tells you which shelf, which bin, or which area each item is supposed to go into.   
This helps warehouse workers find things quickly and keeps track of how much space is available for storing goods.  
  
**Creating Location Master :**  
  
There are two ways to create -  
  
**1) Creation of Location Masters through UI :**  
  
1. Navigate through Masters > Location Master tab  
All the created and uploaded locations can be seen under this Master

2. You can click "Add Location" or "Add Zone" or "Add Sub Zone Mapping" to add location, zone or sub zone respectively.  
It will show the below pop up with all the required fields needed to create the same.  
Fill in all the required details as per the requirement and click "SAVE"

Add Sub Zone Mapping :

3. Once saved you can see the same details in UI or you can click "Download Excel" to take a download of location master.  
  
4. You can also edit a already created zone through the "Edit Zone" button against respective Zone<>Location.  
Click Edit Zone > the below pop up will appear > you can edit or make the required changes and SAVE.

**2) Creation of Location Masters through Uploads :**  
  
1. Navigate through UPLOADS > Location Download/ Upload  
2. Download the Location Form.

3. Mandatory fields in Location Upload Form are -  
Zone, Location, Capacity, Put\_sequence, Get\_sequence  
  
4. Fill the below fields in the location upload form as per the requirement > save the file > upload it through the Upload Location form.

5. If all the details filled are correct and in a right format then a success message will pop up showing file has been successfully uploaded.

6. If the uploaded file is not in the correct format as per the download form then an upload failed message will pop up.

7. If you upload a wrong details then error form is generated and same can be downloaded from "Download Error Form" button as shown below.

8.Error message is shown in the downloaded error form in a new column called "Status".
