## What is First Mile?

The process of transporting goods from the *seller/retailer/production house* to the *courier company (Logistics Service Point)* or *company’s hub (Distribution Centre)* is referred to as **First Mile**.

For instance, if an *e-commerce* or any other company ships their products via any *courier company*, then the first mile would be the transportation of goods from the e-commerce company’s warehouse to the courier company’s warehouse.

It involves many processes - including handling, storage, and transportation - that require efficient and coordinated logistics.
